Hans, my beloved son, age 9, 2007. He enjoys abstract painting, reads at college level, and can already pick me up. Hans is an expert on Star Wars. He is presently writing and illustrating an extensive book on Star Wars bases. Out of over 1,000 entries, Hans was among 35 finalists selected to read his poem The World at the 2008 Story Slam at the Moore Theatre in Seattle.

Rick McGuire is a dedicated conservationist, the current president of Alpine Lakes Protection Society, a prolific writer, author of 55 Hikes around Stevens Pass, Mountaineer Books, 2003, and a key player in the passage of the Washington Wilderness Act and the Wild Sky Wilderness Area. He is currently working on preserving a 3rd tract of wilderness, the Snoqualmie River's Middle Fork Valley.
We collaborate on creating orientation tables for view point parks.
